Remedial Massage
The purpose of a Remedial Deep tissue massage is to separate muscle fibres and loosen deeply held tension in the body. By releasing this tension blood and oxygen can circulate properly. It can benefit many problems especially chronic injuries, pain, scar-tissue, anxiety/stress. After a Remedial Massage you can expect to feel a little sore sometimes as the body relaxes and tension is eased. Hopefully you can get better range of motion, stress relief and a better night sleep post massage.
Massage can help in the relief of:
- Headaches and migraines
- Neck and shoulder pain
- Lower back pain
- Sciatica
- Plantar fasciitis
- RSI
- Muscle Strains
Sports Massage
A Sports massage can be great preparation for an upcoming event or to keep you going during the sporting season.
It helps release muscle tension and restriction to help improve recovery from training and in the long term minimise the risk of injuries.
Massage is a crucial part of any training regime and will help you reach your goals!
Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage can help to support a healthy pregnancy, physically and emotionally relieving stress and muscular tension. Relieving the body of stress will help you to focus on creating a better connection between you and your baby, lowering the risk of postpartum symptoms post birth. As baby grows most women experience backaches and muscle soreness because of the added pressure to the joints and changes in postural alignment. As the pregnancy advances it causes muscles to stretch, the spine to curve and ligaments to become lax adding strain to other areas to compensate. Jess’ personal pregnancies have just reaffirmed to her the importance of pregnancy massage. “I wouldn’t have survived 9mths without the help of massage, especially with my physical job.”
During labour massage techniques can be great for pain management. Jess can help you and your birth partner learn some simple massage techniques to help you during labour.
DON’T FORGET POSTPARTUM MASSAGE TOO!
Massage in the days and weeks after birth for new mums can alleviate the postpartum aches and pains, particularly when you consider the affects of the body adjusting from the pregnancy to the demands of motherhood.
Massage is a great way for a woman to take some time out for herself. The demands on a mum especially with breastfeeding can cause strain on the upper back, neck and shoulders.
